About Sarah:
Horses have always been my passion. This love and interest lead to me following a route into chiropractic care via an equine specific degree. Then followed completing a Masters degree in Animal Spinal Manipulation in 2013. Whilst travelling this educational pathway I chose to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with others and taught as a Lecturer and then Senior Lecturer at an equine college for 6 years in a variety of subjects. I taught across both the Further and Higher Education programmes and some favourite modules included Equine Anatomy, Rehabilitation and Complimentary Therapies, Equine Exercise Physiology and Equine Biomechanics. Whilst there I picked up a PGCE along the way. Teaching students about horses was surprisingly easy and hugely enjoyable. I will be forever thankful for that opportunity, and who knows, when time allows I may return to it one day!
Whilst educating myself about the finer details of the equine species I spent my free time shadowing veterinarians, osteopaths, physiotherapists, and chiropractors, ensuring I was continually broadening my expertise and gaining invaluable experience. I keep up to date with the ever expanding equine health industry by attending seminars and CPD events (a pre-requisite to being a member of the MAA) and sharing practice with para-professionals. The most recent seminar being with Jean Marie Denoix on Equine Lameness and Ultrasonography Diagnosis.
I am fully insured to work on animals and I am a member of the McTimoney Animal Association. The McTimoney Animal Association exists to promote excellence in animal chiropractic for its members, and to the veterinary and animal-owning communities.
